The Arizona Diamondbacks have lost 24-year old lefty reliever/starter Edwin Escobar off waivers to the Cleveland Indians. Escobar pitched in 25 games (2 starts) for the D-backs last year and he was 1-2 with a 7.23 ERA and a 1.90 WHIP. Escobar gave up 33 hits (4 homers) and 12 walks while whiffing 17 batters in 23 2/3 innings pitched. Escobar has now pitched in 27 games (2 starts) in his first two years in the show and he is 1-2 with a 7.01 ERA and a 1.79 WHIP. The Diamondbacks might be giving up a tad too early on Escobar, as he has pretty solid stuff despite not having much success so far in his career in the show.
