The Arizona Diamondbacks have lost 28-year old lefty swinging C/OF Chris Herrmann for the rest of the 2016 season, as he will have wrist surgery tomorrow. Herrmann played in 56 games for the Twins this year and he was 42 of 148 (.284 avg, .845 OPS) with 21 runs scored, 6 homers, 28 RBI and 4 stolen bases. He has now played in 198 games in his first five years in the show and he is 106 of 501 (.212 avg, .623 OPS) with 58 runs scored, 12 homers, 61 RBI and 5 stolen bases. This is a bad break for Herrmann, as he had a breakout year for the Diamondbacks off the bench in 2016.
